Ghostpine utilizes a GPS-capable vehicle ideally suited for Phase II soil investigations, soil profiling, site exploration, and soil surveys. The vehicle’s small size is ideal for minimizing impacts to the ground surface and surrounding environment.
The PTO-driven Marl Technologies M 2.5 is mounted on a Dodge 3500 (1 ton chassis, GVWR 11,000lb 4990kg) truck powered by a Cummins turbo diesel.
The truck is equipped with a 7.5-ft mast capable of a 6.5-ft stroke, and includes:
- a maximum drilling depth of 37 feet (11.2 m);
- 4-inch and 5.5-inch (10.2-cm and 13.8-cm) augers;
- 1.5- inch and 2.5-inch (3.8-cm and 6.4-cm) direct push core barrels; and,
- differential GPS sampling.
